When you feel like you're ready to do more serious fighting either do bounty quests (my favorite being hunting Vanskery) and/or join a kingdom as a mercenary. If you can find a feast, just park there and milk those tournaments.
Winning is +20 renown and the cash is more than enough to buy an enterprise in the town you're in.
Once you get enough renown to enter tournaments, run around doing those. Or one side is Noldor - getting positive rep with them is a huge benefit. Its cheesy, but join fights in progress -especially if they have good prisoners. Quests get you renown and exp, so focus on those.Īvoid anyone who wants to fight you. Look up what each companion will bring and send out the ones that get you troops that fit your needs. Also when companions come back from right-to-rule missions, they bring some troops. Any troops you take on have to be nimble, so I recruited calvery from taverns (mostly young nobles). You need renown to do real tournaments, which is a pain.īe VERY picky about what troops you take on. Whenever I needed some extra pocket change, I'd hit the melee again. I used the melees to get a few levels and pay to recruit companions & buy them a horse.
